Welcome from Sam Franklin, Headteacher
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new Headteacher of North Walsham High School, a successful and ambitious school at the heart of our community and a proud member of the Enrich Learning Trust.
Having served as Deputy Headteacher since 2022, I’ve seen first-hand the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our students and the unwavering commitment of families, towards ensuring that students’ success and happiness is at the heart of everything we do.
Our school is built on the strength of our school values: Trust, Resilience, Excellence, and Kindness. These values are not just words—they shape every interaction we have, every decision we make and every opportunity we offer. This is true for all members of our community; students, parents, carers, staff and our governing board.
By consistently applying these values, we create a safe and welcoming school environment where all students belong, all students can thrive and all students are empowered to positively contribute to the community beyond our school gates.
Day to day, what this means is simple: every member of our community understands that we all have to work hard, together, to develop our TREK values in ourselves and others.
We are proud of our broad, knowledge-rich curriculum and the wealth of experiences beyond the classroom that we see as an entitlement for our students; from performing arts and sports to charity work and educational trips.
I am passionate about ensuring every student, regardless of starting point or background, leaves our school motivated to continue to demonstrate Trust, Resilience, Excellence and Kindness to shape the world they want to live in.
