Excellent Results Again at North Walsham High School 

We are exceptionally proud of our 2023 GCSE results that, whilst excellent in their own right, show a huge improvement from 2019 (the most comparable year) and are at the same level as last year’s record-breaking results. 72% of students gained at least a grade 4 in both English and Maths which is excellent and reflects the hard work and ambition of all connected with the school. we look forward to seeing what they achieve next. Alongside this there are wonderful individual stories of student achievement including numerous students gaining the very top grades with 9s in numerous subjects. 

As Headteacher, I am incredibly proud of the school, the staff, our community and most importantly the students who have all worked exceptionally hard and shown great resilience to achieve these wonderful results. This is certainly a day for celebration. 

Students achieving a grade 4 in English and Maths – 72% 

Students achieving a grade 5 in English and Maths – 47% 

Attainment 8 – 47.53 (this means the average grade for each student in each subject was above 5) 

Students achieving a grade 5+ in the EBACC – 6%
