Head of Science

North Walsham High School, part of the Enrich Learning Trust, is a small secondary school in Norfolk. We are a rapidly improving school and are seeking to appoint an inspirational full time Head of Science to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and management of their subject area in order to secure high quality teaching by all staff within the department. You will use your skills an experience to ensure the effective use of resources and the improvement of standards of learning and achievement of all pupils.

Teacher of Science (potential for responsibility of Year 10 Achievement)

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational full time Teacher of Science to start in September 2022.  
 
The successful applicant will: 

  • Teach a full timetable of Science with requisite planning time; 
  • To develop students’ love of Science; 
  • Be enthusiastic and determined to achieve the very best outcomes; 
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning; 
  • Be committed to the school’s vision: “We put the success and happiness of our students at the heart of everything we do”; 
  • Embody and model our values of trust, resilience, excellence and kindness; 
  • Be dedicated to ensuring students continually improve;  
  • Teach both KS4 and KS3; 
  • Take an active part in CPD which includes regular and deliberate practice. 

 
Potential TLR responsibility 
 
We are seeking to appoint inspirational Achievement Leaders 
 
The successful applicant will (alongside the above responsibilities): 

  • Lead and manage the academic outcomes of all students in their year groups. This includes removing all barriers and raising aspirations for these students; 
  • Raise outcomes of their Year Group 
  • Track and review student achievement, behaviour and attendance and accurately identify and act on areas for improvement 
  • Work with the Pupil Development Team to ensure 96% attendance of Year 10 students
