Develop outstanding individuals who understand and appreciate the beauty of the past and the world around them

In History we aim for students to:

  • To understand the world we live in looking at past events in order to make sense of world developments.
  • Be able to make and sustain judgements and form informed opinions and arguments.
  • To understand and practice skills which are source/interpretation based and extended writing with specific focus on GCSE success.
  • To encourage a love of extended writing and reading for understanding, comprehension and literacy.
  • Have access to world history, European and local.
